The new Digit AiR expander has been completely revisited and now has more memory, higher tech specs, and is easier to use. It is the result of the experience of the previous Digit, which opened the doors to programming via a computer.

The Digit AiR revolutionises the world of digital accordions. It is high tech and encompasses wireless technologies. Thanks to Bluetooth and Wifi, it’s comfortable and speedy to use!

The wireless digital accordion!

The principal communication technology was developed so that the accordion would work wirelessly.

And so, the Digit AiR contains a bespoke HF Midi System – the MIDI WAVE. Thanks to this, you’ll be able to move more freely and you won’t need to plug in any cables to make it work.

It’s completely invisible and is housed inside the accordion. No need for any unsightly cases attached to your belt or the accordion!

To increase comfort even further, the expander is turned on and off when the accordion is turned on and off. So even if you’re far away from your expander, it will turn off when you turn the accordion off – which you can control wirelessly!

For a reliable transmission, we use the 2.4 GHz wifi frequency range, and we’ve developed a two-way communication, so that the accordion can send auto-correction messages to avoid any problem.

Like with wifi, the MIDI WAVE has several transmission channels to carry information from the accordion to the expander. There are 12 of these, and you can choose them manually – or, even better, you can let the Digit AiR scan your environment and choose the most appropriate channel. What could be better?

A wireless accordion... But not just that!

Cavagnolo decided that all of the MIDI equipment used with the Digit AiR – expanders, arrangers… would also work wirelessly!

Digit AiR’s HF MIDI WAVE system handles this perfectly and in this case, it is completely unnecessary to attach a MIDI cable to the accordion. You can walk away from your equipment and play freely while still being able to control everything including your arranger.

Bluetooth too!

In today’s society, connectivity is as important as ever. Bluetooth makes our daily lives easier, is able not only to simplify digital connections but completely transform previously long and complex tasks – making them immediately achievable.

There’s no need to explain why the Digit AiR contains a Low Energy Bluetooth module. The iPad transforms into the Digit AiR control panel. From your tablet, all of your wishes can come true, making tasks simple and easy and as always… wireless!

Your MP3 on USB

The Digit AiR can read all your audio files (MP3, Wav, Aiff) and Midifiles.

Its ergonomy has been streamlined to the max. To play your favourite numbers, all you need to do is transfer them onto a USB key, from any computer.

You’ll be able to press play whenever you want right from your accordion.

Thanks to our app, your favourite orchestrations are easily accessible and you can also create live playlists! The accordion will play all of your selected titles, respecting the order you chose them in.

Share with your friends

The Digit AiR app has a dedicated space for sharing.

It’s simple and easy to send and receive sound combinations. Ready to use sounds can be installed in just seconds.

With your iPad connected to a wifi network, you can transfer all of your sounds, registrations and work spaces thanks to iTunes.

The Digit AiR community is now of significant numbers, and the cavadigit forum is a key hub to take advantage of sharing.

The expander has its own OLED screen too

Where there are functions, there’s a screen. To improve visibility and facilitate your actions, the Digit AiR expander has an OLED screen which will display the functions that have been assigned to it.

Everything Is perfectly readable, whatever the surrounding lighting.

Headphone output, just for you!

The Digit AiR is equipped with a headphone output. If you want to play discreetly without our neighbours hearing, all you need to do is connect your headset.

The sounds, MP3 drum beats and other audio files are therefore played privately through your headset.

You can rehearse and play for hours without disturbing a soul.
